It's unclear to me whether DataLab is developed any longer. If so, I have a plea:

Could you implement a way to select some of the variables as the basis for principal component analysis (the fact that currently all variables are used for the PCA is annoying in many cases....).

Thanks,

Melchior

P.S.: I tried to contact Hans several times in the past - no reply! Hopefully, everything is working well (times are hard, I know).

Melchior,

yes, DataLab will definitely be developed. Here's a short list of what's coming up:

* new multidocument interface makes it much easier to work with DataLab
* PCA and PCR allow to select variables
* PCA support biplots as well
* seamless interprocess communication between the individual DataLab windows
* a few additional statistical tests
* many minor improvements

The next release will be available in March.

Regards,

Hans
