Hello

The SDL program example "slides" operates with *.bmp-images.
How I can modify the SDL-example "slides" for using jpg-images?
I have evaluated the "jpg-browser" example of SDL, but this program is to slow in performance.

I have handle a lot of images (about 40) with sizes about 1 MB in my programs.

Rolling Eyes

kindest regards

Reading jpg files always requires considerable time, thus using the full size jpgs for feeding the TThumblist component is definitely too slow. Consequently you have to prepare properly resized thumbnail images in order to get fast response (many commercial programms work in the same way).

If you are interested to see how fast the TThumbnail component works, you could install PhotoGlobe Explorer which uses this component to display a photo preview:

Thanks Mr. Lohninger,

IŽll kept the program sequence, given by example program "slides".
Beside the thumbnails slow velocity the rest of program works very proper. Thanks for code and help.

Thanks and regards
