Dear SDL Suite Team,

we are using the PLSR algorithm implemented in the SDL suite on X-ray powder diffraction data to determine certain properties directly from the measured data. We would like to test if a certain measured dataset is valid for the current PLSR model or if its outside the current calibration. I have heard that the so called Mahalanobis distance can be used to check this. Is this Mahalanobis distance available within the SDL suite or is there a way to easily calculated this distance from the PLSR model and the measured data ?

best regards,

Thomas
