Is there a quick(er) way to generate a column of random numbers? I know the random number generator which works quite well. However I need a simpler tool which is available directly in the data editor.

Are there any plans to implement something like this?

Piero,

did you try the "rand()" and "gauss" functions of the formula editor? These functions deliver uniform and normal random numbers and are readily available from the table editor.
